1. Who We Are
UMBI Concierge is a personal concierge service operated by UMBI, a limited liability company organized in the State of New York (“UMBI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit umbiconcierge.com, contact us through the inquiry form, or engage us for concierge services.

2. What This Policy Covers
This policy covers personal information collected through umbiconcierge.com and in the course of providing concierge services to our clients. It does not cover the privacy practices of third-party restaurants, reservation platforms, or other businesses we may interact with on your behalf — those parties have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run a personal concierge service. Specifically:
- Contact information you provide. Name, email address, phone number, and the contents of any message you send us through the inquiry form or by email.
- Client preferences. Restaurants you like, dietary restrictions, seating preferences, names and party sizes for group dinners, and special-occasion details you share with us in the course of an engagement.
- Reservation details. Dates, times, and confirmation numbers for reservations we arrange on your behalf.
- Basic website analytics.IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps — collected automatically when you visit umbiconcierge.com.
We do not collect payment card information on this website. Any fees for concierge services are billed and paid outside the site.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to inquiries submitted through the Contact page.
- Arrange, confirm, and adjust restaurant reservations on your behalf.
- Send you text messages and emails directly related to your engagement with UMBI Concierge — reservation confirmations, booking updates, replies to your messages, and service-related notifications.
- Maintain records of completed engagements for accounting and follow-up.
- Improve the website and diagnose technical issues.
We do not use your information for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with marketing partners.
5. SMS and Mobile Information — Specific Disclosures
We take text messaging privacy seriously. The following disclosures apply to all SMS communications with UMBI Concierge:
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
- Opt-in to SMS is separate, voluntary, and unchecked by default on our Contact page. Consent is not a condition of using our services.
- Message frequency: up to 10 messages per month, depending on the cadence of your engagement with UMBI Concierge.
- Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier.
- You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@umbiconcierge.com.

6. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only in these specific cases:
- With restaurants and reservation platforms, on your behalf. To arrange a reservation, we necessarily share your name, party size, and any relevant preferences (dietary restrictions, seating requests) with the restaurant and the reservation platform they use. This is the core of the service you’re asking us to provide.
- With service providers. We use standard, reputable vendors for website hosting, email, SMS delivery (Twilio), and file storage. These vendors are contractually limited to using your information only to provide services to UMBI.
- When legally required. We will disclose information if compelled by a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights or safety of UMBI, our clients, or others.
- In the event of a business transfer. If UMBI is acquired, merged, or otherwise reorganized, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the terms of this policy.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Cookies and Analytics
umbiconcierge.com uses a minimal set of cookies — essential cookies required for the site to function, and basic analytics cookies used to count visitors and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the Contact form.
We do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals at this time.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. In practice:
- Inquiry submissions: retained while active, then archived after 18 months.
- Client records: retained for the duration of the engagement, plus seven years for accounting and tax purposes.
- Website analytics: retained for 26 months.
- SMS consent records: retained as long as you remain opted in, plus three years after opt-out to evidence compliance.
9. Your Choices
- Access and correction. Email hello@umbiconcierge.com to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or to correct inaccuracies.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time. We will comply except where we are legally required to retain certain records.
- Opt out of SMS. Reply STOP to any text message, or email hello@umbiconcierge.com.
- Opt out of email. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us directly.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmitting or storing data is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
UMBI Concierge is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact hello@umbiconcierge.com and we will delete it.
12. California and Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@umbiconcierge.com.
We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of umbiconcierge.com or UMBI Concierge services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
